Happy Birthday to Me! | Los Angeles Photographer

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Yes, it’s true, 34 years ago today I arrived to this world.  Doorbell rang about an hour ago with this lovely gift from my mother.  A good excuse to ignore the piles of work that needs to get done around the house and get out the macro lens.  Just a few quick snaps of the lovely bouquet my sweet mother sent me.

Thanks Mom!

I’m a little behind, so you get two posts today.

Okay, this was possibly my favorite session EVER!  Ian is a riot, he kept me in stitches the whole time.  If you ever have the chance and the need, go visit him at his marketing firm for actors – Padded Envelopes – in Hollywood.  Not only will he help you get your stuff together and help you get a job, he’ll keep you smiling. Truly a great guy!

Another fantastic session. Kimberly is such a beauty and she really made the session fun.  She has such stunning features…..I would kill for her jawline!  Here are a few shots from our recent session.

100mm 2.8L Macro | Los Angeles Photographer

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

I’m just thrilled.  I finally have a decent macro lens. I decided to go ahead, bite the bullet, and get the new Canon 100mm 2.8L Macro with IS.  It’s a beautiful lens.  Had so much fun playing with it a little today just outside my house. Can’t wait to really take it out and see what it can do.  And I must tell you….I have the most insane and irrational fear of bees.  But I couldn’t help myself today. I somehow felt perfectly safe when looking through the lens. Silly…I know.
