Retouching Before and After

December 6th, 2011

Do you really need to have your headshots retouched?  YES!

Here is a quick before and after from a recent headshot session.  She’s gorgeous in the before photo and doesn’t need much improvement to her skin, but an image shot in RAW always needs some help to realize its full potential.  I spend a great deal of time with each re-touched headshot to make sure the color, light, skin and eyes are just right.  I aim to yield a result that was as close as possible to the way I saw you in real life.

If you want, I can take an extra step and do some extensive retouching.  For this example, the subject wanted to change the color of her shirt.  This extensive retouching can be done but does cost extra.  Basically, if it’s not what I saw in real life, it is considered extensive retouching.

I’m just so bad at keeping up with this blog.  Here is a session I did a few months ago.  Heather and I had a blast as usual!

Carrie’s Headshots| Los Angeles Headshot Photographer

November 14th, 2011

Just a real quick post to share two images from tonight’s headshot session.  I really need to get better at keeping this blog up to date.

Carrie was a blast to work with.  She showed tremendous range and I think we did a great job capturing several different characters tonight.

2yr Old Red Head | Los Angeles Children’s Photographer

September 15th, 2011

I can’t tell you how excited I was to find out that not only was I going to get to take photos of a a 2 yr old boy….that boy was also a red head.  I had the best time shooting this little guy.  He was sweet, cooperative, and oh so charming.  We had a such a blast shooting at one of my very favorite locations.  This little boy sure did seem to be in his element, playing, jumping, stick hunting.  Such a sweetheart!  Here are just a few images from our session.

And as if that weren’t cute enough, here’s one of his proud parents.
